2007 — the winner of Theatre Festival-Contest “Paradise” (Novosibirsk Branch of the Russian Theatre Association) and All Russian Festival “Volga Theater Seasons” (Samara) in the nomination “The Best Director’s Debute” (for The Queen of Spades/ “Red Torch” Theatre, Novosibirsk).
2009 — diploma recipient of the Festival-Contest “Paradise”  in nomination “The Best Staging Concept”  (for Macbeth/ “Red Torch” Theatre).
2010 — “Person of the Year” Award of Culture and Arts (Novosibirsk).
2014 — a special prize of the Russian Performing Arts Festival and National Theater Award “Golden Mask” (for Onegin/ “Red Torch” Theatre).

Biography

Graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts/ GITIS in 2007 (under the direction of Oleg Kudryashov).

Since 2007 he is a director, since 2015 – a chief director of the “Red Torch” Novosibirsk Drama Theatre. He staged there The Queen of Spades by Pushkin (2007), The Death-Defying Act by O. Antonov, Jolly Roger by D. Salimzyanov, Macbeth by Shakespeare (2008), Masquerade by Lermontov (2009), No Words (2010), Hedda Gabler by Ibsen (2012), Onegin by Pushkin, KILL after Shiller (2013), Three Sisters by Chekhov (2015), The Trial by Kafka (2016), Children of the Sun by Gorky (2018).

Productions of Macbeth and KILL were nominated for the Golden Mask National Theatre Award, production of Onegin received two Golden Mask Awards – for the best lighting design (by Denis Solntsev) and Drama and Puppet Theatre Jury’s Special Award.

Cooperated with theatres of Omsk (On Nevsky Prospect after Gogol at the Omsk Drama Theatre, 2006), Riga (Livejournal at the Russian Drama Theatre, 2007), Yaroslavl (Carmen by Mérimée at the Volkov Drama Theatre, 2010), Saint Petersburg (The Overcoat. DRESS CODE, at the Comedian’s Shelter Theatre, 2012), Moscow (Electra, #shakespearsonnets and Ivanov at the State Theatre of Nations, 2013-2016), Wuppertal (Rigoletto by Verdi at the Opernhaus Wuppertal, 2017), München (Am Kältepol — Erzählungen aus dem Gulag/ At the Pole of Cold after Shalamov’s Kolyma Tales at the Residenztheater, 2018), Zürich (Nora oder Ein Puppenhaus/ Nora or A Doll’s House by Ibsen at the Schauspielhaus, 2018).

In 2009 made his debut as director of opera with the production of Prince Igor by Alexander Borodin at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2014 he staged there Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner acknowledged the performance of the year according to the newspaper “Musical Review”. In 2016 staged Don Pasquale by Gaetano Donizetti at the Bolshoi Theatre.

Participant and laureate of numerous Russian and international festivals, including: European festival for young theater directors “PREMIERES” (Strasbourg), Wiener Festwochen, The Paris Autumn Festival, International theatre forum “TEART” in Minsk, Theatre Festival Siberian Transit, Rainbow Festival, Academy Festival, International Volkov Festival, International Platonov Arts Festival in Voronezh, International Pushkin Festival in Pskov, All Russian Festival The Real Theater in Yekaterinburg, International Festival of Contemporary Art Territory in Moscow etc.
