Biography

Lynne Hockney trained at the Royal Ballet School. Her choreographic career has encompassed opera‚ theatre‚ film and television‚ largely in the UK and USA‚ working with directors as diverse as James Cameron‚ Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sir Peter Hall. Her work has been seen at repertory theatres throughout the UK and USA and her extensive list of film credits include The Village‚ Titanic‚ True Lies‚ Town & Country‚ Wild‚ Wild West‚ and Rocky & Bullwinkle.

Most recent and future engagements include La Cenerentola at Glyndebourne (as revival director) and in Berlin‚ Der Rosenkavalier at the Bolshoi‚ La Traviata in Magdeburg with Stephen Lawless‚ Jenufa at Glyndebourne and in Malmö‚ Don Chischiotte in Sierra Morena at Nederlandse Opera‚ Orfeo ed Euridice‚ Tancredi and Iolanta / Francesca da Rimini at Theater an der Wien‚ Eugene Onegin at Opera de Lyon and at Grange Park Opera and Otello in Graz.
