She won 1st prize at the 1985 International Competition of Singers in the Netherlands.

Biography

Born in Moscow. In 1986, she completed her studies at the Moscow Conservatoire (Nina Dorliak’s class).
In 1988, she made her Bolshoi Theatre debut in the role of the Queen of Shemakha (Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Golden Cockerel).
From 1988-91, she was a soloist with the Moscow State Academic Philarmonia.
In 1991, she became a Bolshoi Theatre soloist. Now she appears at the Bolshoi Theatre as guest soloist.

She tours a lot abroad.
She was a soloist with Deutsche Oper am Rhein where she sang the following parts: Norina (Don Pasquale), Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Sandrina (La Finta Giardiniera), Gilda (Rigoletto), Nedda (Pagliacci), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi), Elvira (L’Italiana in Algeri), Olimpia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Asteria (Tamerlano), Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor).
She has taken part in productions of Die Zauberfloete (the Queen of the Night) and Berio’s Outis (Samantha) at La Scala.
Her other foreign appearances include: Samantha at Theatre du Chatelet, the Queen of Shemakha at Opera de Nice, the Queen of the Night with Opera Nantes, Vienna State Opera and Cologne Opera, Gilda (Rigoletto) at Oslo Opera (Norway).

She took part in Milano Musica Festival, in Ruhr Triennale, in The Sheremetiev Seasons Festival in Moscow.
She has appeared with solo concerts in Japan.
In 2004, she took part in a performance of Orff’s Carmina Burana in Eindhoven (the Netherlands). In 2005, she took part in a concert performance of Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol in Copenhagen (conductor Alexander Vedernikov). In 2008, she sang Olga in a concert performance of Dargomyzhsky’s Rusalka at the Cologne Philarmonia (conductor Michail Jurowski).
