Biography

Born in Saint-Petersburg. In 2000, on completing his training at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet he joined the corps de ballet of the Maryinsky Theatre. He would later join the Oleg Vinogradov Universal Ballet Company (Seoul). In 2002, Vladimir Malakhov invited him to become a member of the Berlin Staatsoper Ballet Company. In 2003, he became premier dancer of this Company.
In the 2006/07 season, he joined the Bolshoi Theatre Ballet Company. He rehearsed under Boris Akimov.

He was the partner of Diana Vishneva, Polina Semionova.
With the Malakhov and Friends project he participated in gala concerts at the Megaron Concert Hall, Athens, and took part in the International Festival of Ballet in Japan.
In a duet with Polina Semionova, he took part in a gala Don Quixote, presented by the Bolshoi Theatre as part of the Maya Plisetskaya Jubilee celebrations (2005, State Kremlin Palace).
