Biography

Born in Switzerland. Ken Ossola trained as a dancer in Geneva in the Ecole de la danse de Geneve.

In 1989, he joined the NDT II (artistic director: Gerald Tibbs) - the junior troupe of the Netherlands Dance Theatre. In 1992, Ken Ossola switched over to the NDT I, headed by Jiri Kylian . As a member of the original cast, he contributed to many choreographies, among them One of a Kind, Blackbird, Wings of Wax and Bella Figura by Kylian, Alone for a second by Nacho Duato.

In 1999, he left the Netherlands Dance Theatre to carve out a career for himself as a freelance dancer-choreographer. From the Year 2001 to 2002, he also became Ballet Master for the Gothenburg Ballet, artistic director Anders Hellstrom.

During the season 2004-2005 he was ballet master at the Netherlands Dance Theatre 1.
Aside from his freelance career, he is also setting works from Jiri Kylian in many international ballet companies.
