Biography

Born in Bryansk, Russia.
In 1993, he became a member of the prestigious Moiseyev Dance Company in Moscow where he was a principal dancer for three years.

In 1995, Dennis joined the original production of Riverdance. For seven years he served as principal dancer, choreographer and dance captain for Riverdance, where he had the great opportunity to perform in Europe, Australia, Japan and on Broadway. While in Riverdance, Dennis choreographed Shivna, which is a duet that combined Contemporary dance to the songs of the Irish choir in Riverdance.

In 1998, Dennis produced and choreographed The Russian Show, featuring the dancers from The Moscow Folk Ballet, which premiered in Auckland, New Zealand.

Dennis' career took another interesting turn when he joined the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company in 2001. It is during these three years that, Dennis concentrated on a completely different and challenging modern style of dancing, while touring around the United States, Europe and South America.

Through his career, Dennis has made numerous appearances on TV and video. In 1995, he was part of the original video, Riverdance - The Show. In 1996, he was also in the documentary video Riverdance - In Journey. In 1996-97, he participated in The Generation Game, a TV show broadcasted from London, England. In 1998, New Zealand National Television did a piece on The Moscow Folk Ballet performing Russian Folk Dance, choreographed by Dennis. In 2002, Dennis performed in DANCE CELEBRATION! at La Maison de la Danse de Lyon, which showcased eight renowned international dance companies for French TV.

During 2004 - 2008 years Boroditsky Dennis was the choreographer of Vortex Dance Company. The performances was created during that time:

2006 - 2007: the choreographer of Russian Circus Show Avaia in Canada.
2006 - 2007: the invited teacher at Le Group International Des Huit (contemporary dance).
2006: the first prize at International Festival of Modern Choreography (IFMC) in Vitebsk for Next to You production.
2007: the participant of The introvert Dance, photo exhibition of Vladimir Lupovskoy.
2007: the invited teacher at the theater Chelovek, St. Petersburg 2007 and others cities in Russia
2008: the invited performer at the The Art of Moving-2008, Yaroslavl city.

At the present time Dennis Boroditsky - the choreographer and the artistic director of B.D.D.Company.

In 2010, he took part in the production of Die Fledermaus at the Bolshoi Theatre.
