
Biography
Born in Moscow. Having graduated from Moscow’s Theatre-Arts Technical College, he worked for a long time as chief electrician, assistant lighting designer and lighting designer at different Moscow
theatres. Joining the Bolshoi Theatre in 2003, he played an active part in the opening of the Theatre’s New Stage.
He works with various theatres and concert organizations, including Moscow’s Novaya Opera Company (Les Pecheurs de perles, Norma, Ruslan and Ludmila, Die
Zauberfloete), Tartar State Theatre of Opera and Ballet (Aida, The Queen of Spades, Carmen, Boris Godunov); he is the author of lighting plots for concert
programs and contemporary ballet numbers for Svetlana Zakharova and Nikita Dmitrievsky.
He did the lighting during tours of the cities of Yugoslavia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Portugal, France, Poland and China.
He has worked with the following, among other, designers: David and Alexander Borovsky, Oleg Sheintsis, Robert Wilson, Anna Fibrok, Achim Freyer, Georgy Meskhishvili, Marius Nekrosius, Vladimir Boer,
Anna Koleychuk.
In 2008-09, he took part in Bolshoi Theatre’s productions of The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and of the Maiden Fevronia, Russian Seasons and Zakharova
Supergame.
