Awards
He has won prizes at the following competitions: Bella voce (Moscow, 1998), Neue Stimmen (Germany, 1999), Orfeo (Hanover, Germany, 2000); he was a finalist and winner of a special prize at the Belvedere-2000 International Singers’ Competition, Vienna; 12th Tchaikovsky Music Competition (2nd prize, 2002). In the same year, he took part in the German Stars von Morgen TV program, at which the young singers were presented to the public by Montserrat Caballe.
Biography
Born in Sayanogorsk. In 1989, he graduated from the Stavropol Music College (folk choir conductor class). He began to study singing in 1992, at the Moscow State Institute of Culture (Mikhail Demchenko’s class). He continued his education at the Moscow State Conservatoire (Pyotr Skusnichenko’s class).
He joined the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company in 2000. Now he appears at the Bolshoi as guest soloist.

Tours
He tours abroad. In 2001, he participated in the Tatar Opera Company tour to Holland, Germany, France, Great Britain, singing the roles of Fenton in Falstaff and the Duke (Rigoletto).
In 2002, he appeared in the role of Vladimir Igorevich (Prince Igor) with the Opera National du Rhin (Strasbourg).
In 2003, he again toured in France, singing Lensky (Eugene Onegin) with the Toulon and Toulouse Opera Companies. He also sang the tenor part in a performance of Mozart’s Requiem with the Opera National du Rhin, where ha sang Lensky in 2005.
Since 2005, he collaborates with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein where he performed the following roles: Ferrando, Macduff, Fenton, Cassio, Laerte, Rodolfo, Lensky, Don Ottavio, Edgardo, Alfredo, Nemorino, Ismaele, Zinovy Borisovich, the Duke, Rinuccio.
