Biography
Andrei Popov graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of L. Morozov).Trained at the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers (class of G. Khanedanian).
Joined the Mariinsky Opera Company in 2007.

Andrei Popov has appeared at the Mariinsky Theatre’s festival in Mikkeli (Finland). Together with the Mariinsky Opera Company, he has toured to London, New York, Washington, Stockholm, Beijing, Tokyo, Helsinki, Brussels, Baden-Baden, Valencia, Paris, Tel-Aviv, Eilat, Las Palmas, Birmingham and Cardiff.In 2008 he took part in a concert performance of the opera May Night under Mikhail Pletnev.

In 2011 he sang Shuisky (Boris Godunov) at Opéra de Nice (conductor Gennadi Rozhdestvensky, director Nicolas Joël).
In 2012 he appeared at the Bolshoi Theatre as the Astrologer (The Golden Cockerel) and Shabby Peasant (The Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk).
