Biography
Born in 1979. As a child, he was a member of the children’s choir of the Perm State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2001 he graduated from the Saint Petersburg Musical College and in 2005 entered the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatoire.Since 2002, Alexei Pashiev is working at the Saint Petersburg State Chamber Musical Theatre Saint Petersburg Opera. Among the parts he sings are title roles in Eugene Onegin, Don Giovanni and Gianni Schicchi, Prince Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades), Giorgio Germont (La Traviata), Gaspar (Donizetti’s Rita), Enrico (Donizetti’s Il campanello), Enrico Ashton (Lucia di Lammermoor), Scarpia (Tosca), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Marcello (La Bohème), Silvio (I Pagliacci) and others.
In 2007 Alexei Pashiev was commended by the Ministry of Culture of Russia. In 2009 he was nominated for the Golden Floodlight theatre award for his performance of the title role in Yuri Alexandrov’s production of Don Giovanni.
