Biography
Boris Rudak was born in Belarus. In 1999, he went to the M. Oginsky Musical College in Molodechno, Belarus. In 2005, he entered St. Petersburg State Conservatoire (Professor Bogacheva’s vocal
class). With Conservatoire Studio he performed Lykov in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride, Jesus in the Beethoven’s oratorio Christ on the Mount of Olives, Remendado in Bizet’s
Carmen. He took part in concert performances of Ravel’s L'enfant et les sortileges and Orff’s Die Kluge at the St. Petersburg Conservatoire Big Hall. He created roles of
Bell Ringer and Devilkin in stagings of Shostakovich’s The Tale of the Priest and of his Workman Balda in Norway and Ireland.
In December, 2009, he took part in concert performances of Mozart’s Idomeneo (Arbace) with Moscow Chamber Orchestra Musica Viva, conductor Alexander Rudin. In 2010, he took part in
concert performance of Gounod’s Romeo and Juliet at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall.
In October, 2009, he joined the Bolshoi Theatre Young Artists Program.
He made his debut at the Bolshoi in January, 2010, singing the role of Parpignol in Pucini’s La Boheme. From that time he performed with the Company parties in Mozart’s Die
Zauberfloete, Lykov in The Tsar’s Bride, and Alfred in Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. He toured with the Bolshoi Theatre in Poland and Germany, where he sang Almerik in
Iolanta, conductor Vassily Sinaisky.
In September, 2010, he took part in The 3rd Levitan Musical Festival in Ples, Russia, music director Alexei Goribol.
Awards
the 3rd Prize at the St. Moniuszko (Minsk, 2003), Diploma at the International Vocal Competition in Colmenar Viejo (Spain, 2009).
